You can make your delicious and creamy mango pap at home. The ingredients are inexpensive and locally sourced. You can serve your creamy mango pap as fruit juice to your guests and family instead of carbonated soft drinks and beverages.
Ingredients
To make your delicious and creamy mango pap, you need the following ingredients:
- Large, ripe and very sweet Benue Mango
- Unsweetened farm fresh yogurt ( to serve as thickening agent)
- Liquid peak milk or any other brand of evaporated milk of choice
- Honey (optional)
Utensils
- Blender, Can opener, Sharp kitchen knife
- Wine goblet or small bowl to serve
- Eating spoon
Method
- Wash and peel the Mango fruit
- Slice and cut it into big chunks
- Empty the mango slices into blender
- Pour yogurt and milk
- Cover the blender to prevent the content from spilling during blending
- Blend until the content is smooth and forms a beautiful creamy gel (Pap)
- Shake and mix well, then blend again
- Add honey to taste (Be careful with the quantity of honey you add, some people do not tolerate much honey)
Serving
- Serve cold or moderately chilled. You can use cubes of the Mango, Moringa leaf or Parsley for garnishing.
